STILLWATER – Several former members of the Oklahoma State football team saw action in Week 15 of the NFL season.
Former OSU standouts Dan Bailey and Dez Bryant contributed to the entirety of the Dallas Cowboys' offense, as the two were responsible for each of Dallas' 16 points in a 19-16 defeat to the New York Jets. Bryant hauled in four catches for 50 yards and one touchdown, while Bailey connected on three field goals and hit his lone extra point attempt.
The last of Bailey's field goals came at a crucial moment, as he converted a 50-yard attempt with less than two minutes remaining to tie the narrow contest. On the season, Bailey ranks third in the NFL in field goals made (28) and leads the league in field goal percentage (97.0) amongst kickers with ten or more field goal attempts.
A pair of former Cowboys saw their squads clinch playoff berths in last week's slate of games, as Russell Okung (Seattle Seahawks) and Lane Taylor (Green Bay Packers) were both a part of playoff-clinching victories. Antonio Smith's Denver Broncos can clinch a spot in the playoffs with a win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday.
Also making contributions were Perrish Cox (Tennessee Titans) and Kevin Williams (New Orleans Saints), who each contributed a tackle for their respective teams.
