Cowboys Continue to Climb in College Football Playoff Rankings

STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State football team moved up two spots in the latest College Football Playoff rankings, coming in at No. 6 in Tuesday's poll.
Since the debut of this season's rankings on Nov. 3, the Cowboys have gained eight spots in only two weeks. After moving from No. 14 to No. 8 in last week's polls, Oklahoma State used a 35-31 comeback victory over Iowa State on Saturday to remain undefeated and increase its position amongst the nation's best.
The Cowboys also saw their national ranking ascend in both the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches polls, which were released earlier this week. Oklahoma State checked in at No. 4 in both sets of rankings, and was slotted at No. 5 in the FWAA-NFF Super 16 Poll.
Other Big 12 teams in the College Football Playoff Rankings include tenth-ranked Baylor, who will travel to Stillwater for a top-10 battle on Saturday. Oklahoma (No. 7) and TCU (No. 18) are also represented in the poll.
Oklahoma State's contest against Baylor on Saturday will kick off at 6:30 p.m. in Boone Pickens Stadium.
