Resilience
• The Cowboys have trailed by 15 points or more in three games this year, two of which were played on the road. They won all three of those games. OSU went 5-0 on the road this season and trailed in four of those five wins. In the lone road game that OSU did not trail at any point (at West Virginia), the game was tied at the end of regulation and the Cowboys claimed the win in overtime. In four of OSU's wins this season, the Cowboys did not have the lead with 3:10 or less remaining in the game.
Quarterback Play
• Mason Rudolph owns a 12-1 record as the Cowboys' starting quarterback. He ranks 11th nationally with 3,161 passing yards and is eighth nationally with 9.3 yards per pass attempt. He has thrown nine touchdown passes against just one interception in his last four games. As for Walsh, he ranks 46th nationally with 120 points responsible for this year despite being on the field for only 78 total offense attempts (rushes + pass attempts), meaning Walsh has accounted for an outrageous 1.54 points per total offense attempt. For perspective on that number, if you took all the players ahead of him nationally in the "Points Responsible For" category, the next most productive player per total offense attempt is Baylor's injured QB Seth Russell at 0.84 points per total offense attempt.
Defensive Disruption of Timing and Spacing
• With standouts such as All-America candidate DE Emmanuel Ogbah, plus CB Kevin Peterson and FS Jordan Sterns, Oklahoma State's defense has been disruptive and ruined the timing and spacing of opposing offenses, both up front and on the perimeter. OSU ranks in the top 10 nationally in turnovers gained, defensive touchdowns scored, sacks, tackles for loss and passes intercepted. Additionally, the Cowboys are 16th nationally in fumbles recovered.
• The Cowboys have outscored their opponents, 244-95, for an average score of 49-19.
• The Cowboys have forced 14 turnovers and committed just four of their own. Furthermore, Oklahoma State has made its opponents pay when they turn the ball over, as OSU holds a 73-7 advantage in points off turnovers.
• The Cowboys have limited their five opponents to 3.1 yards per rush and 4.7 yards per play.
• The Cowboy defense averages 3.4 sacks per game.
• The Cowboy offense has 17 touchdowns in 23 red zone attempts (73.9 pct.)
• The Cowboys are averaging 7.4 yards per play on offense.
• Mason Rudolph has completed 110-of-163 passes (67.5 pct.) for 1,775 yards, with 13 touchdowns against just two interceptions. He's averaging 355.0 passing yards per game and has a passer rating of 182.82.
• J.W. Walsh has been on the field for 35 total offense plays (rushes plus pass attempts). Those 35 plays have resulted in an astounding 54 points for the Cowboys.
In his 10 previous head-coaching matchups against Baylor, Mike Gundy has a 7-3 record. Gundy and Baylor coach Art Briles have met seven times in the series, with Oklahoma State holding a 5-2 advantage in those contests. The average score of an Oklahoma State-Baylor game in Stillwater during the Gundy/Briles era is OSU 49, Baylor 19.
The last meeting between the two teams played in Stillwater was a notable one. Then-No. 11 OSU steamrolled its way to a 35-3 lead after three quarters and finished as 49-17 victors to bring an end to then-No. 3 Baylor's 13-game winning streak. The OSU defense was the story, as the Cowboys forced three turnovers and limited the Bears to 94 rushing yards on 2.6 yards per carry. For perspective on that, Baylor entered the contest averaging 300.3 rushing yards per game on 6.1 yards per carry.

• TCU entered the game ranked second in the nation in both scoring offense (48.9 ppg) and total offense (616.3 ypg), but the Cowboys intercepted Heisman hopeful Trevone Boykin four times and also recorded a goal line stand, plus forced a second turnover on downs in the red zone to cement their victory.
