Cowboys in the NFL, Week Six
October 20, 2015 | Cowboy Football
STILLWATER – Several former members of the Oklahoma State football team saw action in week six of the NFL season.
In the Denver Broncos' 26-23 win over the Cleveland Browns, defensive end Antonio Smith was a force defensively, providing half a sack, two quarterback hits and one tackle. Smith's contributions this season have been vital to a Denver defensive unit that ranks second in the NFL in total defense.
In terms of team success, both Smith and former Cowboy Lane Taylor have played roles on undefeated squads, with the Denver Broncos and Green Bay Packers both sitting at 6-0.
Also adding to a winning effort was Kevin Williams, who tallied one tackle in the New Orleans' Saints triumph over Atlanta. The Saints have now won two of their last three contests and ended Atlanta's perfect season with the win.
With the Dallas Cowboys being on a bye week, former OSU standouts Dan Bailey, Dez Bryant, Tyler Patmon, Joseph Randle and Brandon Weeden were all inactive. Randle remains tied for third in the league with four rushing touchdowns, and Bailey stands as one of only ten kickers yet to miss a field goal this season.
