STILLWATER, Okla. – Two-time NCAA champion Alex Dieringer has been chosen to compete in the 165-pound bout of the 2015 All-Star Classic on Nov. 1 in Atlanta, it was announced today.
Dieringer will go head-to-head with North Carolina's Ethan Ramos. The last time the two met, Dieringer walked away with a 17-6 major decision victory over the then-No. 12 Tar Heel.
"It's a great opportunity and a good way to represent my school," Dieringer said. "I'm excited to start off the year wrestling nothing but the best."
The Cowboy is coming off a perfect season that saw him go 33-0 and earn his third Big 12 title and second NCAA title, both at 165 pounds. He proved to dominate throughout the season, putting up 28 wins with bonus points.
