Cowboy Football Enters Top 15
October 11, 2015 | Cowboy Football
STILLWATER - The Oklahoma State football team continued its rise through the USA Today Coaches and Associated Press polls, as the Cowboys were slotted at No. 15 and No. 16, respectively, in Sunday's rankings.
Â
With its thrilling 33-26 overtime win over West Virginia on Saturday, Oklahoma State moved to 6-0 for the fourth time under head coach Mike Gundy. After J.W. Walsh's 2-yard run in overtime put the Cowboys ahead, the OSU defense sealed the victory with a strong defensive stand.
Â
This week's ranking marks the highest for Oklahoma State in 2015, and extends a string of five-consecutive weeks in the national polls.
Â
OSU is joined in the rankings by three other Big 12 schools, including Baylor (No. 2/2), TCU (No. 3/3) and Oklahoma (No. 19/19).
Â
The Cowboys will take a week off before welcoming Kansas for their next contest, which is set for Oct. 24 at Boone Pickens Stadium. Â
