:: WR David Glidden, RB Desmond Roland, DT James Castleman, LB Ryan Simmons and FB Teddy Johnson served as Oklahoma State captains for today's game. Those players were voted as team captains for the season.
:: James Castleman and Ofa Hautau both played offense for the first time in their collegiate careers on the opening drive of the game. Hautau played on the line and Castleman played in the backfield.
:: Castleman scored on the first carry of his career to complete the opening drive.
:: Mason Rudolph was 4-4 for 69 yards on the opening drive of the game. In the first quarter, he was 8-10 for 133 yards and a touchdown.
:: OSU's first touchdown was the second consecutive game and third time this season that the Cowboys have scored on their opening drive.
:: That drive lasted 5:07 and was OSU's second-longest of the season in terms of time of possession. The longest was 5:11 against Texas Tech.
:: Rudolph made his first career catch on a 22-yard completion on Brandon Sheperd's first career pass attempt.
:: Oklahoma State dominated the opening quarter of the game, leading in points 14-0, total yards 177-17, first downs 9-0 and time of possession 10:50 - 4:10.
:: OSU held its opponent scoreless in the opening quarter for the second time this season. The other was against Iowa State.

:: OSU had a season-high two fourth down conversions, the highest total since converting two fourth down attempts against Texas Tech in 2013.
:: James Washington's first-quarter touchdown reception was the sixth of his season and career.
:: Brandon Sheperd's second-quarter touchdown reception was his fifth of the season and seventh of his career.
:: Josh Furman's sack in the third quarter was his seventh of the season.
:: With four punts today, Kip Smith broke his own school record for most punts in a season. He finished the season with 81 total punts.
:: Desmond Roland's 123 rushing yards marked a new team and season-high for the senior, topping his previous high of 95 yards. He also surpassed the 100-yard mark for the fourth time of his career, with the last coming in 2013 against Oklahoma.
:: Castleman tallied the first reception of his career after pulling in a 48-yard pass from Rudolph in the fourth quarter.
:: Rudolph's 299 passing yards marks the third-highest total for a freshman in OSU history. The performance also gives Rudolph a new season and career-high, improving his previous high of 281 yards against Baylor.
:: Ben Grogan connected on three out of four field goal attempts to finish with 22 field goals made on the season. That mark ties Quinn Sharp for the third-best season total in OSU history.
:: Roland ends his career with 27 rushing touchdowns, which ties David Thompson and Keith Toston for the ninth-most in school history.
:: Kevin Peterson's game-clinching interception was the second of the season and the fourth of his career.
:: The Cowboys held the ball for a season-high 35 minutes and 45 seconds, giving Oklahoma State a time of possession advantage of 11:30. That mark is the team's highest since holding an advantage of 14:40 against Texas Tech in 2009.
:: With the win, the Cowboys' all-time bowl record moves to 16-9, giving Oklahoma State the second-best bowl game winning percentage (.640) in the country. The victory also improves Gundy's bowl record to 6-3 and maintains the Cowboys' perfect bowl record (5-0) in the desert.
