STILLWATER - The Oklahoma State football team is ranked as the No. 24 team in the nation according to the Associated Press Poll released today.
The Cowboys (2-1 overall, 0-0 Big 12) made their first appearance in the poll last week at the No. 25 spot, rising one spot in this week's poll.
OSU had the weekend off in preparation for Thursday night's matchup with Texas Tech, but comfortably defeated UTSA, 43-13, in its last game.
Three other Big 12 teams joined Oklahoma State in the poll, including Oklahoma, Baylor and Kansas State.
The Cowboys were nearly ranked in the USA Today Coaches Poll as well, but just missed the top 25 as they were the first team left out with 110 points.
Oklahoma State's Thursday contest against Texas Tech kicks off at 6:30 p.m. at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater.
