STILLWATER, Okla. -
The Oklahoma State men's cross country team preserved its No. 1 ranking in the Midwest Region this week, according to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) regional poll released Monday.
The ranking marks the Cowboys' 43rd-consecutive week as the Midwest's No. 1 team, a run that dates back to the poll's inaugural release in 2009.
In the women's rankings, the Cowgirls retained their hold on the No. 2 ranking in the region, keeping the team's standing as the second highest-ranked team in the Big 12.
Both the men's and women's cross country squads will return to action on Sept. 27, when Oklahoma State hosts the 77th-annual Cowboy Jamboree.
