Cowboys Eighth At Pebble Beach

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. - Oklahoma State's men's golf team posted a 13-over total of 373 during its second round at The Carmel Cup on Saturday to dip into eighth place at Pebble Beach Golf Links.
Playing with just five players in the six-count-five format, the Cowboys have a 36-hole total of 735, 15-over, at the par-72, 6,828-yard layout. Georgia leads by a shot through two rounds with a 10-under total of 710.
Vanderbilt's Hunter Stewart maintained his hold on the top spot in the individual race, carding a 2-under 7 to stand at 7-under 137.
True freshman Sam Stevens led the Cowboy lineup, posting a 1-under 71 to stand at 144 and tied for 21st place.
Sophomore Wyndham Clark finished the day tied for 25th place at 145 after carding a 74 during his second round.
Redshirt freshman Brendon Jelley's 72 tied him for 29th place at 147, while sophomore Zachary Olsen carded a 77 to come in at 148 and tied for 36th place.
Redshirt freshman Stratton Nolen signed for a 79, giving him a 151 total and tying him for 46th place.
The Cowboys will close out the event with tomorrow's third round. OSU will tee off at 7:10 a.m. (PST) and will be grouped with Oklahoma, Arkansas and Vanderbilt.
