Jelley tied for fourth place at this summer's OGA Stroke Play Championship before breaking through with a signature win at the OGA's State Amateur Championship. After rolling through the first five matches of the event, he posted a 1-up victory in the championship match at The Patriot Golf Club in Owasso.
Coming off his productive summer and with a valuable redshirt season under his belt, Jelley will vie for one of the five coveted spots in the Cowboy lineup this fall. He will make his first collegiate start this weekend for OSU at The Carmel Cup.

Brendon Jelley joined the Cowboy program last year after a standout career at Jenks (Okla.) High School. For the Trojans, he was a four-time all-conference selection and was the Class 6A state championship runner-up in 2011. He was also named a Rolex All-America honorable mention pick in 2012. In 2013, he tied for second at the Oklahoma Golf Association Stroke Play Championship.
