Two Cowboys Advance At U.S. Amateur

JOHNS CREEK, Ga. - Two members of the Oklahoma State men's golf team advanced to the match play bracket at the U.S. Amateur Championship with Zachary Olsen and Jordan Niebrugge moving on at Atlanta Athletic Club.

Olsen tied for 21st after carding rounds of 70 and 71 for a 2-under 141 total. The rising sophomore opened with a 2-under 70 at the Riverside Course before closing with an even-par 71 at the Highlands Course.

Niebrugge's 1-over total of 144 tied him for 43rd place. The rising junior carded rounds of 74 and 70 to advance. Niebrugge's 74 came at the Riverside Course, while his 1-under 70 was posted at the Highlands Course.

Rising sophomore Wyndham Clark missed the cut after a pair of 75s gave him a 150 total.

Olsen will take on Adam Svensson in his first-round match, while Niebrugge will take on Will Zalatoris.
