Incoming Cowboy Wrestlers Claim Titles in Fargo

FARGO, N.D. – Incoming Oklahoma State freshmen wrestlers Ryan Blees and Chandler Rogers each turned in dominating championship performances at the ASICS/Vaughan Junior Freestyle Nationals Saturday, claiming the 160 and 170 pound titles, respectfully.
Blees dominated the field throughout his time at the tournament, winning his first five bouts by technical fall before handling Logan Massa in a 5-2 decision to seal his title and go 6-0 at the event.
Rogers was just as impressive, going 6-0 with four technical falls, one fall and one decision with a 10-0 technical fall over Josef Johnson in final bout.
Both wrestlers are expected to make big additions to the Cowboy wrestling team, with Intermat ranking Rogers as the No. 9 recruit in the nation and Blees at No. 21.
