STILLWATER, Okla. – "How I Got Here" is a series that asks Oklahoma State football players to detail their football background and careers and how they got to where they are now. Today's edition features cornerback Darius Curry from Flowery Branch, Ga.
On how he got started playing football
"My dad has always been a football coach so that led me to start playing the game. I fell in love with the game and have played ever since."
On playing with his brother C.J.
"I love the competition. We have been competing since we were little. I like to say that I win most of the time but I would guess that he says other wise. C.J. and I have been playing one-on-one since I can remember. Our dad used to line us up against each other and we would just go at it with each other. Overall though it was great competition at a young age that helped me become the player I am today."
On the decision to attend Oklahoma State
"It really wasn't that hard of a decision for me. Oklahoma State really made it feel like home the first time I came here. Having my brother here was also an extra bonus."
On his plans for this summer
"My plans for this summer are to just go out there and get better. I'm going to do whatever it takes to make this team better."
