"I've been playing since I was about in second grade. We had a good program at Tuttle, and I kind of kept going from there, I guess. It's a fun game."
On the person who has had the biggest impact on his playing career
"Definitely my head coach in high school, Coach (Phillip) Koons. He's just a hardheaded guy who taught me a lot about the game and a lot about life."
On why he chose to walk on at OSU
"The opportunity to play in front of a lot of people like that. I had a lot of D-2 offers, but a lot of people kind of catches people's eyes."
On the daily life of a walk-on
"I mean it's rough at first. You kind of have to get used to everything real quick. After you get going, though, you catch up pretty quickly."
On the difference between the daily life of a walk-on and scholarship player
"There's not a big difference anymore. We all go to school. We all do the same things."
On his goals now that he's here
"I hope to get a lot of playing time one day. I hope to be able to help the program out."
