Running Back Raymond Taylor
On when he started playing football
“I used to always football with my dad, and he pretty much taught me the game. I fell in love with it immediately. I love the way people can work together. I initially fell in love with the way the defense can work together to approach one person and get the ball.”
On if his dad was the biggest impact on his football career
“Yes, for sure, without a doubt. He has had the biggest influence on my life all together. He's been a great role model for me.”
On why he chose to walk-on at Oklahoma State
“Ever since I got into high school, this is where I wanted to be – this is where I've seen myself playing football. Oklahoma State represented what made me fall in love with football initially. I made the decision around my freshman or sophomore year that this is where I wanted to play.”
On playing running back at Oklahoma State
“It's fun. It's fun to play running back. It's definitely tough on the body, but I still love it. I get a rush out of running the ball, an adrenaline rush.”
On how he ended up on the offensive side of the ball after falling in love with defense
“Playing basketball with my siblings and neighborhood friends when we were real young, it was hard to take me down. It was always fun carrying people on my back and dragging people. That's when I got the whole rush feeling. Learning to juke people out, it was really exciting.”
On his goals at OSU
“I want to be a reason why Oklahoma State continues to be great.”
