Way Named 2014 OSU Outstanding Senior

Caitlin Way, a thrower for the Oklahoma State women's track & field team, was named an OSU Outstanding Senior for 2014, it was announced last week.
Way, from Mitchell, S.D., was named a Capital One Academic All-American in 2013 and was on the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team in 2012. She is a three-time First Team Academic All-Big 12 honoree, along with being a two-time All-Big 12 performer in both the outdoor hammer throw and indoor weight throw.
Way carries a cumulative 4.0 GPA, majoring in physiology-premedicine/preprofessional.
In the fall of 2013, Way was one of 47 students honored as a member of OSU's "Seniors of Significance" list. The 15 Outstanding Seniors were selected from the pool of Seniors of Significance after the selection committee met with the candidates and reviewed their applications.
To put the award in perspective, only the top half percent of OSU's seniors were selected for this award.
The Outstanding Seniors were honored in a public banquet last Monday, at the ConocoPhillips OSU Alumni Center, in Stillwater.
