Linebacker Seth Jacobs
On when he started playing football
"I got into football when I was eight-years-old and in third grade. I don't remember exactly how I started to love it, but when I was seven and in second grade, I told my dad I wanted to play football. He didn't ask me twice, he just took me to a game and I told him I wanted to play, and I played the next year. I've been playing ever since."
On the person who has had the biggest impact on football career
"Probably my dad. It's something we've been able to share throughout the years, and it's something we still talk about to this day, in detail. It's something we share and it's something I've grown up with. He's taught me a lot of lessons and it's great."
On how he ended up on the defense
"I like being aggressive, and it's fun having an opportunity to go out and hit people and stuff – just react. It's probably something I enjoyed more than anything else."
On why he chose Oklahoma State
"I wanted to experience something new. I'm originally from Arroyo Grande, California, so it's a lot different from here. I thought people were very friendly here, and I got a good vibe. I felt very comfortable here, and I was very happy about it."
On transitioning from California to Oklahoma State
"It's been quite the experience. I've been more than fortunate to come up here and meet the people that I have. There's a lot of good people here. It's been tough at times; it hasn't always been easy, but I've feel like it's been great experience and I've learned a lot from it in two years."
