Wyndham Clark Named To Palmer Cup Squad

NORMAN, Okla. - Oklahoma State's Wyndham Clark was named to the 10-player United States team for the Palmer Cup it was announced today on Golf Channel's Morning Drive. The annual Ryder Cup-style competition will be played June 26-28 at Walton Heath Golf Club in Surrey, England against the European squad.
The redshirt freshman's selection marks the 14th time a Cowboy has competed in the event and he is the first OSU representative since 2009.
Clark was one of six players selected by the Palmer Cup Ranking, while three players were chosen via committee selections and there was one coach's pick.
He was joined on the squad by Cameron Wilson of Stanford, Georgia Tech's Ollie Schniederjans, Robby Shelton of Alabama, Brandon Hagy of California and Southern California's Rico Hoey as players chosen from the ranking. Committee selections were Bryson Dechambeau of SMU, Oglethorpe's Anthony Maccaglia and Alabama's Trey Mullinax. Stewart Jolly of LSU was coach Steve Desimone's coach's pick.
A native of Denver, Colo., Clark is currently ranked seventh in the Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings. He has made 10 starts this season for the Cowboys, finishing in the top 6 in eight of those events. Clark has three runner-up showings thus far, finishing second at the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate, the Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters and the National Invitational Tournament.
