Perry Named Big 12 Wrestling Scholar-Athlete of the Year

IRVING, Texas – Two-time national champion and Oklahoma State wrestling standout Chris Perry was named the 2014 Big 12 Wrestling Scholar Athlete of the Year, the league office announced today.
Majoring in education, Perry has put together a 3.21 grade point average. The Stillwater native compiled a 30-1 record in his 2013-14 campaign, including his second-straight national title.
The senior ends his time as a Cowboy as a four-time Big 12 champion, a three-time All-American and a two-time NCAA champion at 174 pounds. His career record of 122-11 puts him tied at ninth in wins all-time at OSU, joining Cowboy greats Mike Sheets and Pat Smith.
Perry was also a first team Academic All-Big 12 selection in 2013 and 2014.
