Cowgirl Soccer Hosts ORU Friday

STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma State opens its spring exhibition season Friday, and the match will mark the only time the Cowgirls will play on their home field this spring as they host Oral Roberts at 7 p.m. at the Cowgirl Soccer Complex. Admission to the match is free for all fans.

Coach Colin Carmichael's squad is coming off a 9-7-6 season in which it earned a berth in the NCAA Women's Soccer Championship for the seventh time in the last eight years. The Cowgirls lose just two players from that team, and they will return 10 starters in 2014, including three All-Big 12 performers.

Among those returning, Courtney Dike finished second in the Big 12 in goals as a freshman last season, while Allie Stephenson also ranked in the top 10 in the league in goals. Madison Mercado was second in the conference with seven assists.
