Cowboys Lead In Florida

PALM CITY, Fla. - Oklahoma State's men's golf team shared first place at the Valspar Collegiate Invitational with Georgia Tech through 36 holes of action on Monday at the Floridian Golf Club.
The Cowboys posted rounds of 273 and 281 for a 14-under total and a share of first place at the par-71, 7,076-yard layout. LSU finished the day two shots back and in third place.
Florida State's Jack Maguire grabbed the individual lead at 131 after posting rounds of 65 and 66.
A pair of Cowboys found their way to the top 10 with senior Kevin Dougherty posting rounds of 70 and 66 for a 136 total and sole possession of seventh place. Sophomore Jordan Niebrugge's 65 and 73 gave him a 138 tally, tying him for 10th place.
Seniors Talor Gooch and Ian Davis shared 22nd place at 141. Gooch posted rounds of 69 and 72, while Davis carded scores of 71 and 70.
Redshirt freshman Wyndham Clark carded rounds of 69 and 73 to finish at 142 and tied for 32nd place.
The Cowboys will begin their final round at 9:33 a.m. (EST) and will be grouped with Georgia Tech and LSU.
