ORLANDO, Fla. - Oklahoma State's Zachary Olsen posted rounds of 73 and 71 to make the cut at the PGA Tour's Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill Club and Lodge.
The Cowboy freshman, who gained entry into the event via his victory at last year's Southern Amateur, used his even-par total to finish two shots inside the cut line.
Olsen's 1-under round on Friday vaulted him 30 spots on the leaderboard and into a tie for 46th place. He will be joined on the weekend by former Cowboys Morgan Hoffmann, Charles Howell III and Hunter Mahan. Hoffmann is tied for fifth at 6-under 138, while Howell is tied for 10th place at 5-under 139.
Olsen's front nine included just one par to go with four birdies and four bogeys for an even-par 36. After a bogey at the 10th, he moved back to even par with a birdie at the 12th and added another birdie at No. 17 to finish under par.
