Oklahoma State Hosts Second #OSUSelfie Day
December 30, 2014 | Cowboy Football
TEMPE, Ariz. - The Oklahoma State football team will host an opportunity for fans to visit and take pictures with their favorite players at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass hotel in Arizona from 2:30- 3 p.m on Thursday, Jan. 1, just one day before the Cowboys play Washington in the TicketCity Cactus Bowl. This is the best opportunity for fans to interact directly with the players and wish them well prior to the game.
The event is geared toward letting fans take photos with their favorite players and visit with them personally in a fun and informal setting. We ask that you please do not bring in any items to be autographed, but we encourage you to bring cameras and to use "#OSUSelfieDay" as the hashtag for photos you share on social media.
Due to NCAA recruiting legislation, prospective football student-athletes may not attend this event. This event will take place during a designated "dead period" in the sport of football.
Logistical details:
The Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Hotel is located at 5594 West Wild Horse Pass Road, Chandler, AZ 85226. From Interstate 10, fans should take exit 162 (Wild Horse Pass Blvd.) Go west on Wild Horse Pass Blvd. and follow the road for about 2.5 miles to the hotel and park in the main lot.
The event will take place in the hallway outside the team's meeting rooms on the first floor. To get to that area from the main entrance of the hotel - which is on the third floor - go down the staircase to the first floor and turn left at the coffee and pastry area, then follow the long hallway to where to where the OSU football meeting rooms are located. The meeting rooms are easily identifiable with OSU signage.
The Cowboys are scheduled to arrive at the hotel at 2:30 p.m. and will go straight to the area outside their meeting rooms to be with the fans. There won't be any tables or barriers between the players and fans, just a large, open hallway favorable for fun and personal interaction.
The official hashtag for social media posts related to the event is #OSUSelfieDay.
Please do not bring in items to be autographed, as the premise of the event is more about fans taking photos with and interacting with their favorite Cowboys.
