December 23, 2014 | Cowboy Football
STILLWATER - Taking a look at how Oklahoma State's players currently in the NFL fared in week 16. Some notes:
Dallas Cowboys Dez Bryant, Dan Bailey, Joseph Randle, Tyler Patmon and Brandon Weeden clinched the NFC East title with a 42-7 win over the Indianapolis Colts, sending the Cowboys to the playoffs for the first time since 2009.
Other Oklahoma State products who clinched playoff berths are Detroit Lions Corey Hilliard and Brandon Pettigrew; Green Bay Packer Lane Taylor and Seattle Seahawks Russell Okung and Kevin Williams. The Lions and Packers are tied atop the NFC North and face off against one another with the division title at stake this Saturday. The Seahawks can clinch the NFC West this week as well.
Dan Bailey leads the NFL with 51 extra points made and is 12th in the NFL in scoring with 117 points.
Dez Bryant leads the NFL with 14 touchdown receptions, is 10th in the NFL with 84 receptions and is ninth in the NFL with 1,221 receiving yards. He needs just one more touchdown reception to tie Terrell Owens for the Dallas Cowboys' single-season record.
Dez Bryant has 54 touchdown receptions since 2010, a mark that ties him with New England's Rob Gronkowski atop the NFL during that span.
