Niebrugge 11th At All-America Classic

EL PASO, Texas - Oklahoma State's Jordan Niebrugge wrapped up the first day of action at the Sun Bowl Western Refining College All-America Golf Classic in a tie for 11th place at El Paso Country Club.
Niebrugge opened with a 1-under 70 before carding a 73 during the afternoon session to come in at 1-over 143 at the par-71, 6,889-yard layout.
New Mexico's Gavin Green fired rounds of 71 and 62 to lead by two with a 9-under 133 total.
Niebrugge got off to a hot start during his first round with three birdies over his first six holes before turning at 2-under 34. After carding his fourth birdie of the round at the 10th, he posted bogeys at the 12th and 16th to finish at 1-under for the round.
During his second round, Niebrugge offset bogeys at the first and eighth with birdies at the fifth and ninth to turn at level par. After bogeys at the 10th, 14th and 15th, he posted his lone birdie of his inward ninth at the 17th to come in with a 2-over 37.
Niebrugge will begin his final round tomorrow at 8:00 a.m. and will be paired with Virginia Tech's Trevor Cone.
