Oklahoma State vs Northwestern Oklahoma State
Tuesday, November 18, 2014
* Oklahoma State went on an early 20-0 run against the Rangers from the 18:52 mark until there was 13:34 left in the first half. It ties for the longest run since the 2000-01 season, matching the 20-consecutive points the Cowboys scored against Siena on Nov. 20, 2001. Since the 1996-97 season, OSU has had five runs of 20 or more points:
21 vs Texas A&M (Jan. 24, 2001)
21 at North Texas (Nov. 29, 2000)
21 vs SMU (Dec. 21, 1996)
20 vs Northwestern Oklahoma State (Nov. 18, 2014)
20 vs Siena (Nov. 20, 2001)
* Oklahoma State recorded 60 rebounds, just the fourth time in school history that the Cowboys have reached that mark and the first time 1973. The school record is 65 (vs Colorado at Kansas City on Dec. 29, 1972), 64 vs Kansas on March 5, 1973) and 61 vs Oklahoma at Kansas City on Dec. 28, 1972.
* The 35-rebound margin (60-25) is the largest in a single game in school history. The previous high was 32 vs MacMurray (52-20) on Dec. 11, 1967.
* This marks the first time since 2009 that OSU had three double-figure rebounders (Le'Bryan Nash with 12, Jeffrey Carroll with 11 and Mitchell Solomon with 10). The last time the Cowboys had three was vs Seattle on Nov. 14, 2009.
* Senior Le'Bryan Nash recorded his first double-double of the season and the fifth of his career with 16 points and 12 rebounds.
* Redshirt freshman Jeffrey Carroll also picked up a double-double, the first of his career, with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Both are early career highs.
* For the third-straight game, junior Phil Forte recorded at least three steals. He had six in the season opener vs Southeastern Louisiana, three against Prairie View A&M, and four tonight vs Northwestern Oklahoma State.
* Forte has also scored at least 17 points in each of the first three games. He had 17 in each of the first two contests, and 18 in tonight's game.
* Other career highs in points: Jeff Newberry (14), Joe Burton (6), Tavarius Shine (6) and Mitchell Solomon (2).
* Solomon also recorded a career-high 10 rebounds, his first double-figure rebounding game.
