STILLWATER - Oklahoma State recovered a pooch kickoff to set up a touchdown with no time left in the first half, then returned the opening kickoff of the second half 97 yards for a score to create the separation it needed in a 37-20 win over Iowa State in Boone Pickens Stadium.
For the third straight game, the Cowboys trailed in the first half, but came back to win. The Cyclones held a 6-0 lead midway through the second quarter, but the Pokes answered by scoring on seven straight possessions before ISU eventually capped the scoring with less than a minute left in the fourth quarter.
The Cowboy defense forced five three-and-outs and limited the Cyclones to 4.5 yards per play to contribute to OSU's fifth win in its last six games vs. Iowa State.

Was the Cowboys' fourth straight home win over the Cyclones. OSU hasn't lost to Iowa State in Stillwater since 2000.
Improved the Cowboys to 14-2 in their last 16 Big 12 Conference games played in Boone Pickens Stadium.
Was the Cowboys' 26th consecutive home win over an unranked opponent, dating back to a loss to Houston in 2009.

Offense

Desmond Roland extended his touchdown streak to six games by punching in two rushing scores as part of Oklahoma State's 37-20 win over Iowa State. Roland rushed 19 times for 95 yards against the Cyclones. His first touchdown broke a 6-6 tie just before halftime to create some breathing room for the Cowboys. His second score came on the first play of the fourth quarter and gave the Pokes a 37-13 lead to effectively put the game away. Including his two touchdowns against Iowa State, Roland now has 10 scores in his last six games.
Defense

Michigan transfer Josh Furman nearly doubled his previous career high by recording 10 tackles and he added two sacks and two tackles for loss as part of Oklahoma State's 37-20 win over Iowa State. Both of Furman's sacks came in the first half and he also stuffed two plays for no gain en route to logging eight total tackles before intermission to set the tone for a strong performance by the OSU defense. On the year, Furman leads the Cowboys with seven tackles for loss, with all seven coming in the last four games.
Special Teams

Kicker Ben Grogan connected on three field goals to help Oklahoma State to a 37-20 win over Iowa State. When the offense struggled in the first half, Grogan was there to keep the Cowboys in the game by knocking in a 34-yarder and a 30-yarder to keep the score at 6-6. The Pokes went on to blow the game open in the second half, aided in part by Grogan's 34-yard connection in the third quarter. Including his three field goals against the Cyclones, Grogan has now been successful on nine consecutive attempts.
