October 05, 2014 | Cowboy Football
STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State football team rose five places in both the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches polls released today as it was voted No. 16 in the AP Poll and No. 18 in the USA Today rankings.
The Cowboys (4-1 overall, 2-0 Big 12) have been ranked the past four weeks of the AP Poll and past two weeks of the coaches poll, with this week's rankings marking the highest of the season in both.
OSU defeated Iowa State, 37-20, Saturday at Boone Pickens Stadium and has now won four straight games since narrowly dropping its season-opener to defending national champion and top-ranked Florida State.
The Cowboys travel to Lawrence, Kan., Saturday for their first true road game of the year against the Kansas Jayhawks. The game is set for a 3 p.m. start time on Fox Sports 1.
