Oklahoma State Post-Game Notes vs. West Virginia
Milan Puskar Stadium - Morgantown, W.Va. - Sept. 28, 2013
:: Serving as OSU captains for today's game were Blake Jackson, Brandon Webb, Shaun Lewis and Josh Stewart.
:: Linebacker Shaun Lewis has now started 36 consecutive games. Cornerback Justin Gilbert, safety Daytawion Lowe and linebacker Caleb Lavey each hit the mark for 30 consecutive starts today.
:: J.W. Walsh's 73-yard touchdown pass to Josh Stewart in the first quarter was OSU's longest gain of the season. The previous longest was Stewart's 67-yard punt return score against Lamar. The longest previous play from scrimmage was Walsh's 56-yard touchdown pass to Stewart against UTSA.
:: That touchdown drive lasted only 1:30. The Cowboys have now scored on a drive of less than two minutes in 26 consecutive games and in 42 of the past 43 games.
:: Justin Gilbert recorded his second interception of the season in the second quarter. It was the seventh of his career.
:: West Virginia's 14-7 lead in the first quarter marked the first time Oklahoma State had trailed an opponent since Mississippi State took a 3-0 lead on the opening drive of the season.
:: Josh Stewart recorded the sixth game of his career and first of the season with at least 100 receiving yards.
:: Stewart's 123 first-half receiving yards were the most by a Cowboy in a half since Justin Blackman recorded 127 yards in the second half against Kansas State in 2011.
:: With his 127 receiving yards, Stewart passed Josh Cooper into eighth place on OSU's all-time receiving list. The junior now has 1,813 yards in his career.
:: Tracy Moore caught his first touchdown reception of the year in the second quarter. It was the 13th of his career.
:: Tyler Patmon's second quarter interception was his first as a Cowboy. Including his years as a Kansas Jayhawk, it was the seventh of his career.
:: Desmond Roland's 40-yard kick return in the second quarter was OSU's longest of the season.
:: Jeremy Seaton's touchdown catch in the third quarter was the fourth catch and the second touchdown catch of his career.
:: James Castleman's field goal block in the third quarter was the first time a Cowboy has blocked a field goal since Nigel Nicholas blocked a kick at Baylor on Dec. 1, 2012.
