Cowboys Tied For Fourth At Olympia Fields

OLYMPIA FIELDS, Ill. - Oklahoma State's men's golf team posted its second consecutive 291 on Saturday to dip into a tie for fourth place through two rounds at the Olympia Fields/Fighting Illini Invitational at Olympia Fields Country Club.
The Cowboys 22-over total of 582 knotted them with Stanford for fourth place at the par-70, 7,293-yard layout. The two teams finished the day a stroke behind Arkansas and three shots behind Texas. Alabama holds a 21-shot lead over the Longhorns and stands at 558.
Alabama's Robby Shelton posted a 66 to move to the top spot on the leaderboard. His 3-under 137 total is three shots clear of the field.
OSU senior Talor Gooch moved up four spots into a tie for 11th place after posting a 1-over 71 to come in with a 144 total.
Senior Kevin Dougherty came in a stroke back at 145 after posting a 73 to stand in a tie for 16th place.
Sophomore Wyndham Clark's 73 gave him a 148 total and tied him for 28th place, while senior Ian Davis posted a 78 to finish at 149 and tied for 30th place.
Junior Tanner Kesterson wrapped up the day tied for 51st place after carding a 74 for a 150 total.
The Cowboys will close out the event tomorrow with their third round getting underway at 8:10 a.m. OSU will be grouped with Stanford and Baylor.
