Cowboys Open Fall Season At Olympia Fields

OLYMPIA FIELDS, Ill. - Oklahoma State's men's golf team will begin its first season under head coach Alan Bratton this week when it begins play at the Olympia Fields/Fighting Illini Invitational.
The 15-team field will begin play on Friday with the first of three rounds at the par-70, 7,142-yard layout. The event will consist of 18 holes each day and will conclude on Sunday.
Tee times for the first two rounds are slated to begin at 9 a.m. and the third round is set to begin at 8 a.m.
OSU's starting five will consist of seniors Ian Davis, Kevin Dougherty and Talor Gooch as well as junior Tanner Kesterson and sophomore Wyndham Clark.
The Cowboys have won the event on one occasion, claiming the title in 2007, and have produced the individual medalist on three occasions. Rickie Fowler (2007) was the first OSU player to win the event and was followed by Trent Whitekiller in 2009 and Peter Uihlein in 2010.
