BOISE, Idaho - Former Oklahoma State All-American Kevin Tway earned his first Web.com Tour victory on Sunday, defeating Spencer Levin in a playoff at the Albertsons Boise Open at Hillcrest Country Club.
Tway tied Levin at 23-under 261, a tournament record, to force extra holes. The Edmond, Okla., native drained a 6-foot birdie putt on the par-4 first in the playoff to seal the victory.
Tway put together a closing round of 7-under 64 that included birdies at the 15th and 17th as well as an eagle at the 16th to force extra holes.
With the victory, Tway pocketed $139,500 to vault 33 spots on the Tour's money list into sixth place at $219,794. He has two other top 10s on the year, finishing fourth at the Brasil Classic in April and tying for ninth last month at the United Leasing Championship.
Tway becomes the second Cowboy to win the event, joining Chris Tidland (2008).
