Three Cowboys Named to Preseason All-Big 12 Team

IRVING, Texas - Three Oklahoma State Cowboys were named to the 2013 Preseason All-Big 12 team, announced Wednesday by the league office. Junior Josh Stewart, senior Calvin Barnett and senior Shaun Lewis earned first-team honors as voted on by the media representatives who cover the Big 12 Conference.
Stewart (Denton, Texas) is one of two first-team receivers honored. He is coming off a first-team All-Big 12 performance a year ago after finishing the 2012 season with 1,210 yards on 101 receptions. Stewart has also been named to the 2013 Biletnikoff Award watch list.
Barnett (Tulsa, Okla.) earned first-team honors on the defensive line. He is coming off an impressive first season at OSU when he was named the 2012 Big 12 Newcomer of the Year and earned All-Big 12 honors. Barnett finished with 30 tackles, including 24 solos, and led the team with 8.0 tackles for loss. He has also been named to the preseason watch lists for the Lombardi Award, Nagurski Trophy, Bednarik Award and Outland Trophy.
Lewis (Missouri City, Texas) is a first-team all-league selection at linebacker. He has also been named to the Nagurski Trophy watch list. Lewis was a second-team all-league pick last season after finishing the year with 58 tackles and 7.5 tackles for loss.
