USA U19 Finishes Pool Play Undefeated

PRAGUE, Czech Republic -- Oklahoma State sophomore Marcus Smart and the USA U19 men's basketball team routed the Russians 115-47 here Saturday night in the final round of pool play at the FIBA U19 World Championships. Smart started for the United States but played just nine minutes.
The Cowboy sophomore finished with four points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals. Through three contests, he has 20 points, 12 steals, six rebounds and six assists in 12 minutes per contest.
The USA team finished first in Group D and advances to the Second Round of the World Championships. The other undefeated teams in their respective pools were Spain (Group A), Lithuania (Group B) and Serbia (Group C).
The Americans will face Brazil, which finished third in Group C with a 1-2 mark, on Monday at 8:15 pm local time (1:15 pm CT) at the Podvinny Mlyn Arena.
