Camacho Takes Fourth at USATF Championships

DES MOINES, Iowa -
Oklahoma State's Savannah Camacho finished fourth in the women's junior 800 meters at the U.S. Outdoor Track and Field Championships, in Des Moines, Iowa, on Friday.
Camacho's time of 2:08.01 was a collegiate best in the 800 meters. She put up a better mark than her previous best in the 800 each time she raced this season.
"I thought Savannah looked great," OSU Coach Dave Smith said. "She had an abbreviated season because of injuries, but she was able to get back out there and do well this weekend. For her to improve her time each time she raced is a great sign. She is incredibly talented, and I expect big things from her in the future."
