Cowboys To Compete At Fayetteville Regional

INDIANAPOLIS - Oklahoma State's men's golf team was selected to compete at the NCAA Fayetteville Regional it was announced today by the NCAA Division I Men's Golf Committee.
The Cowboys will be the No. 3 seed in the 14-team field at The Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Ark.
Last year, the Cowboys saw their NCAA-record string of 65 consecutive NCAA Championship appearances come to an end after finishing eighth at the Ann Arbor Regional. Prior to last season, OSU had won three consecutive regional titles and has won nine crowns overall since 1989.
Additionally, the Cowboys have produced nine regional medalists, including four consecutive prior to last season.
The event is one of six 54-hole regional tournaments, which will be conducted May 16-18.
There will be 13 teams and 10 individuals not on those teams competing at each of three regionals, while the other three regionals will have 14 teams and five individuals not on those teams. The low five teams and the low individual not on those teams from each regional will advance to the finals.
The NCAA Championship finals will be conducted May 28-June 2, at The Capital City Club, Crabapple Course in Atlanta, Georgia.
