Cowboys Earn All-Region Honors

ALPHARETTA, Ga. - Four members of the Oklahoma State men's golf team received Division I PING All- Region honors it was announced today by the Golf Coaches Association of America. Ian Davis, Kevin Dougherty, Talor Gooch and Jordan Niebrugge were among those honored in the Central Region.
Davis has competed in 12 events for the Cowboys this season. Among his starts was a victory at the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate during the fall and a fifth-place finish at the Big 12 Championship. The junior was also named a first-team All-Big 12 selection as well.
Dougherty was honored after putting together a junior campaign that has seen him make eight starts. He matched his best finish of the season in his last start, tying for fifth place at the NCAA Fayetteville Regional. He also tied fifth earlier this spring at the Linger Longer Invitational.
A first-team All-Big 12 selection as well, Gooch was named to the squad after earning a pair of runner-up finishes in 11 starts. He tied for second place at the U.S. Collegiate and was also the runner-up at the Big 12 Championship. Overall, he has five top 10s on the year.
Niebrugge has competed in 13 tournaments during his freshman campaign and has two runner-up finishes to his credit. The All-Big 12 selection tied for second at The Prestige and the Morris Williams Intercollegiate. He has totaled five top 10s, including a tie for 10th at the NCAA Fayetteville Regional.
