Cowboy Track Moves Back Into Top 25

The Oklahoma State outdoor men's track and field team jumped back into the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association top 25, appearing at No. 23, it was announced today.
This is the third time this season the Cowboys have been ranked in the outdoor top 25, which is the team's most appearances since the poll began.
"It's nice to be back in the top 25 again," OSU Coach Dave Smith said. "But, whether it's been cross country, indoor or outdoor, we've kept the same mentality--rankings are rankings. The Big 12 Championships are coming soon, and we're going to have to prove it then, at regionals and at nationals, too."
Individually, two Cowboys and four Cowgirls are ranked in the top 50 in their individual events.
On the men's side, previously unranked Nick Miller vaulted to the No. 2 national ranking in the hammer throw, following his dominating performance at the John McDonnell Invitational on Saturday. Taylor Monaghan stayed in the top 20 in the 3,000 meter steeplechase, at No. 19.
On the women's side, Kate Kujawa leads the way with her No. 10 ranking in the 3,000 meter steeplechase. Clara Nichols stayed in the top 50 in the 800 meters, at No. 46.
Throwers Caitlin Way (No. 34) and Chase Ealey (No. 32) are ranked in the hammer throw and shot put, respectively.
The OSU track and field teams will be back in action this weekend, April 18-20, at the Mt. Sac Invitational in Walnut, Calif., and on April 20 at the Michael Johnson Invitational, in Waco, Texas.
