Cowgirls Open Exhibition Season

EDMOND, Okla. - Oklahoma State opened its spring exhibition season Saturday with a win and a tie as the Cowgirls battled Tulsa to a 0-0 decision before defeating Central Oklahoma, 4-2.
The Cowgirls could not manage a score against the Golden Hurricane, but junior goalie Rosa Medina pitched a shutout to help OSU earn a draw.
In the second match, OSU got a pair of second-half goals from Miriam Rhinehart to propel it past the host Bronchos.
The Cowgirls would get on the scoreboard first when Haley Maurice, who redshirted last fall with an injury, scored off a Baillie Burmaster corner kick.
UCO would get the equalizer just before intermission, but the Cowgirls would go back on top in the second half when Allie Stephenson stole the ball at midfield and then chipped a 35-yard shot past the keeper.
After the Bronchos once again netted the equalizer, Rhinehart scored what proved to be the game winner off a double assist from Heidi Greeson and Madeline Wood. She added a second, unassisted goal to seal OSU's win.
