Oklahoma State Football Up to No. 6

STILLWATER, Okla. - The Oklahoma State football team had an open week, but has risen to No. 6 in the BCS Standings, as well as the USA Today Coaches Poll and the Associated Press Poll released today.
The Cowboys' (10-1 overall, 7-1 Big 12) No. 6 spot in the BCS Standings is the highest they have reached since they were No. 3 in the final standings of 2011, and marks the fourth season in the last six OSU has reached the top 10 of the standings.
OSU has now climbed in the polls for eight consecutive weeks, with today's rank of No. 6 marking the highest of the season in each poll. The Cowboys are up one spot in both the USA Today Poll and the AP Poll from last week.
Oklahoma State faces in-state rival Oklahoma at 11 a.m. Saturday in Stillwater. A Bedlam win would give the Cowboys their second Big 12 Championship in the past three years.
Four Big 12 Conference teams are ranked in both polls this week, with Baylor, Oklahoma and Texas joining Oklahoma State.
