:: Serving as Oklahoma State captains for today's game were Anthony Rogers, Tyler Patmon, Clint Chelf and Teddy Johnson.
:: Tight end Zac Veatch and safety Lyndell Johnson earned their first career starts today. This season, 12 players have made their first career starts in an OSU uniform.
:: The Cowboys have won four straight over Kansas and nine of their last 10 meetings with the Jayhawks.
:: Today was OSU's eighth straight home win, dating back to last season's loss to Texas. That matches the fourth-longest home winning streak in school history.
:: The Cowboys are 16-1 in their last 17 games in Boone Pickens Stadium, dating back to the start of the 2011 season.
:: OSU has won five straight Big 12 contests, marking only the third time since World War II that Oklahoma State has won five straight conference games. The two previous occasions were in 1984 (Big Eight) and 2011 (Big 12).
:: Today marked the 22nd consecutive home win over an unranked opponent, dating back to a loss to Houston in 2009.
:: The Cowboys are 31-4 in their last 35 games against unranked opponents, dating back to the start of the 2010 season.
:: The Cowboys are 8-1 on the year, marking the fourth time in the last six seasons that OSU has started with an 8-1 record or better through its first nine games. Prior to Mike Gundy taking the head coaching position at OSU in 2005, the Cowboys had only four 8-1 starts in 102 seasons of football. Those starts came in 1944, 1945, 1984 and 1985.
:: OSU grabbed its fifth conference win of the season, clinching a winning record against the Big 12 for the sixth straight year.
:: Justin Gilbert's game-opening kickoff return for a touchdown was the sixth kickoff return for a score in his career and was the fifth time in school history Oklahoma State has recorded a 100-yard kickoff return. The last time a Cowboy returned a game-opening kickoff for a score was Perrish Cox against Missouri State in 2006.
:: Gilbert now leads all active NCAA players in career kickoff return touchdowns and is the Big 12's all-time leader.
:: That return was the fifth non-offensive touchdown for Oklahoma State this year. Oklahoma State has now scored on a kickoff return, punt return, interception return and fumble return this season.
:: Kevin Peterson grabbed his first career interception in the opening quarter.
:: Josh Stewart left the game with an injury at the 12:43 mark in the opening quarter.
:: The Oklahoma State defense has forced at least one turnover in 17 consecutive games.
:: OSU has now scored on a drive of less than two minutes in 31 consecutive games and in 47 of the past 48 games.
:: OSU has scored 20 or more points in 48 consecutive games dating back to the start of the 2010 season. That streak is the second-longest since Division I split into the FBS/FCS in 1978, trailing only USC's 63 straight games of 20 or more points from Sept. 2, 2002 through Nov. 25, 2006.
:: For the second time this season, the Oklahoma State defense recorded a first-half shutout. The Cowboys also held TCU scoreless through the first half.
:: David Glidden's six receptions and 73 receiving yards marked career highs.
:: Jeremy Smith is tied with Tatum Bell for sixth-place on OSU's career rushing touchdown list with 34.
