Oklahoma State Wins Five Titles at OCU Open

OKLAHOMA CITY - Oklahoma State sent 21 wrestlers to represent the Cowboys in eight weight classes at the Oklahoma City University Open on Sunday and brought back five individual titles.
Four of the finals matchups pitted Cowboy wrestlers against each other at 125, 133, 157 and 184 pounds.
Connor Cline was the first to secure an individual title when he defeated teammate Gunnar Woodburn, 5-2.
True freshmen Dean Heil and Anthony Collica finished in style, picking up pins to earn championships at 133 pounds and 141 pounds, respectively.
The fourth title for the Pokes came when Chris Koo defeated fellow Cowboy Keilan Torres, 5-2.
Nolan Boyd was the final champion for OSU when he pinned teammate Landry Chappell in 1:58.
Lincoln Lemon and Sam Mehan also earned runner-up finishes at 133 and 165 pounds, respectively.
A handful of Pokes finished the tourney with third-place finishes in Austin Miller (125), Brian Crutchmer (133) and Ben Laures (197).
Finishing in fourth place in their respective weight classes were Davey Dolan, Quinten Patterson and Ethan Driver.
The Cowboys kick off their dual season on Nov. 17 when they face Bucknell at 2 p.m. in Gallagher-Iba Arena.
