STILLWATER, Okla. – After one of the biggest wins of the college football season Saturday, the Oklahoma State football team is ranked No. 7 in the BCS Standings, as well as the USA Today Coaches Poll and the Associated Press Poll released today.
The Cowboys' (10-1 overall, 7-1 Big 12) No. 7 spot in the BCS Standings is the highest they have reached since they were No. 3 in the final standings of 2011, and marks the fourth season in the last six OSU has reached the top 10 of the standings.
OSU has now climbed in the polls for seven consecutive weeks, with today's rank of No. 7 marking the highest of the season in each poll. The Cowboys are up two spots in the USA Today Poll and four spots in the AP Poll from last week.
Oklahoma State is coming off of a 49-17 win over then-No. 3 Baylor, giving the Bears their first loss of the season in dominating fashion and giving the Cowboys possession of the top spot in the Big 12 standings.
Three Big 12 Conference teams are ranked in both polls this week, with Baylor and Oklahoma joining Oklahoma State.
