Cowboys Look To Defend Title At Royal Oaks

DALLAS, Texas - Oklahoma State's men's golf team will look to defend its title at the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate when it begins play at the sixth annual event on Monday at Royal Oaks Country Club.
Last season, the Cowboys won the tournament by four strokes with a 10-under 842 total, while Ian Davis tied for medalist honors with Iowa's Ian Vandersee at 7-under 206.
This year's event will utilize a 6-count-5 format and will consist of 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday. The Cowboys will begin their first round at the par-71, 7,068-yard layout Monday morning at 8:30 a.m. and will be grouped with Texas A&M, Iowa and UT Arlington.
Second-round action will begin immediately following the conclusion of the first round and Tuesday's final round will get underway at 8:30 a.m.
OSU's starting lineup will consist of Davis, fellow seniors Talor Gooch and Kevin Dougherty, sophomore Jordan Niebrugge, redshirt freshman Wyndham Clark and freshman Zachary Olsen.
The tournament will be the final event of the fall season for the Cowboys, who are coming off their first win of the year at the U.S. Collegiate Championship in their last outing.
