Cowboy Football Continues Climb in Polls

STILLWATER, Okla. – The Oklahoma State football team rose one spot in both the USA Today Coaches Poll and Associated Press Poll released today, ranking 12th and 18th, respectively, after cruising past Iowa State, 58-27, on Saturday.
The Cowboys (6-1, 3-1 Big 12) climbed four places in the USA Today Poll and two places in the AP Poll last week, with this week marking the third consecutive week OSU has improved in both polls. OSU has also been ranked in both polls every week of the season and reached as high as No. 11 in each of them.
Four Big 12 Conference teams are ranked in both polls this week, with Baylor, Texas Tech and Oklahoma joining Oklahoma State.
The Cowboys resume play Nov. 2 when they travel to Texas Tech for a 6 p.m. kickoff. It will be one of the premier matchups of the week in college football, with the Red Raiders ranked No. 15 in both polls.
