Cowboy Baseball Recruiting Class Ranked Fourth

DURHAM, N.C. — Oklahoma State's 2013 baseball recruiting class is ranked as the fourth best in the nation by Baseball America, which dubbed the group “a banner class” and “a smashing success” for second-year head coach Josh Holliday and his staff. The ranking is the highest ever for the program in the BA rankings, which began in 2000.
The Cowboys' class is the first full group of recruits for the program under Holliday and includes 18 newcomers — 13 freshmen and five from the junior college ranks. The class includes three players — pitchers Thomas Hatch and Garrett Williams and infielder Andrew Rosa — who were drafted in last June's Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft.
Additionally, Williams and Hatch, along with outfielder Ryan Sluder, were among Baseball America's Top 200 for the 2013 MLB Draft, while Williams is considered the second-highest rated left-handed pitcher from the 2013 draft class to attend college.
Baseball America ranked Florida's recruiting class as the best in the nation, followed by Texas and South Carolina. OSU and Oregon State rounded out the top five.
