OSU Takes Second In `South's Best Tailgate' Contest

Oklahoma State University came in second place in Southern Living's second-annual contest to be named the school with the “South's Best Tailgate.” Clemson University won for the second-straight year and Louisiana State University took third place. The full story can be viewed at SouthernLiving.com.
To celebrate the rich tradition of pre-game celebrations, editors at Southern Living named the top 15 Southern schools with the most spirited tailgates and let readers determine the winner. From August 16 to September 30, fans cast more than 400,000 votes for their home teams online and via smartphone.
Southern Living chose the 15 finalists based on the following criteria:
· Most Spirited: Schools that turn “fan” into “fanatic.”
· Traditionalists: Schools renowned for game-day rituals.
· Powerhouses: Southern schools with a history of winning on and off the field (the most bowl victories).
· Style Setters: From sundresses to cake stands, these schools showcase true splendor in the grass.
