Tailgating Guidelines In Place For Season Opener

Tailgaters should take precaution when cooking this weekend.

STILLWATER, Okla. - For those taking part in tailgating festivities for Oklahoma State's football game this weekend, below are the guidelines with respect to the Governor's Burn Ban.

Outdoor cooking with LPG, Natural Gas or Charcoal-fired grilling receptacles is permitted provided that the activity is conducted over a non-flammable surface and at least five feet away from flammable vegetation. Coleman-type pressurized stoves are exempt. Tailgaters should also have a properly working fire extinguisher nearby while cooking.
