Former Cowboys in NFL Preseason Action

The Oklahoma State Cowboys are in the middle of training camp and 23 days from opening the season. Numerous former OSU standouts are continuing their careers and competing in the National Football League. Oklahoma State currently has 27 former Cowboys in the league.

Defensive lineman Jamie Blatnick made his preseason debut Thursday with two tackles for the Denver Broncos.

NFL veteran TE Billy Bajema had a touchdown grab for the Baltimore Ravens Thursday. Bajema, who is in his eighth NFL season, had two catches for 12 yards in the game. DT Ryan McBean played for the Ravens but had no stats.

Offensive linemen Grant Garner and Nick Martinez both played Thursday for the Washington Redskins.

Defensive tackle Swanson Miller had a pair of tackles for the New Orleans Saints Thursday. Safety Johnny Thomas played but did not have statistics.

O-State fans can potentially see seven former Cowboys tonight in the Cleveland-Detroit game. QB Brandon Weeden, WR Josh Cooper and DL Juqua Parker will suit up for the Browns. TE Brandon Pettigrew, S Jacob Lacey, DL Ugo Chinasa and OT Corey Hillard will be available for the Lions.

The Vikings at 49ers game will showcase four Oklahoma State players. OT Charlie Johnson and DT Kevin Williams will play for Minnesota, while RB Kendall Hunter and DB Perrish Cox will go for San Francisco.

Quarterback Zac Robinson and the Bengals face the New York Jets tonight.

Wide Receiver Justin Blackmon and RB Keith Toston host the New York Giants Friday.

Saturday includes two games - Houston at Carolina and Tennessee at Seattle. DE Antonio Smith enters his ninth season in the NFL and fourth for the Texans. OT Russell Okung is in his third season in Seattle. Markelle Martin is a rookie for the Titans but is currently on the injury list.

Dallas and Oakland will close out week 1 of the preseason Monday. OT Levy Adcock, LB Orie Lemon, K Dan Bailey and WR Dez Bryant will represent the Cowboys.
